Precedent Analysis Project-Part 1:Aalto Summer House-

Aalto Summer House

The Aalto Summer House is designed by Alvar Aalto. It is located in Muuratsalo, Finland. It was built in 1953, in the 20th century.  It is a small house, that the architect himself Alvar Aalto lives in. It is constructed of wood and bricks. However, the interesting thing about this house is that he uses many different brick patterns, but displays them and the entire house in a completely modern style. I really am interested in this building because of its location and unique style. I feel that Alvar really redefined the way architects and designers could and can use bricks to add "flare."
